How to rip a DVD quick and easy

DVD ripping is fast catching up in today’s tech savvy world. Though numerous DVD ripping softwares are available on the web, you’re bound to get confused in selecting the best one plus there is no guarantee of their smooth working as most of them are trial versions and ask you to pay after a specific period of time.

Hence, we have made an effort to enumerate the steps you need to follow to rip a DVD quickly and without any hassles.
For this you won’t need any DVD ripping software, you’ll just need the VLC media player.

To download the VLC media player-Click Here!

1> Insert the DVD in the DVD drive and start VLC media player.

2> When the VLC media player opens up, click on “media” and then select “convert/save” (as shown in the pic above).

3> The Open Media window will pop up. Select “Disk” at the top, here you can select the DVD disk drive by clicking on “browse”. You can also select the starting position for your movie/video by choosing the “title” and “Chapter”.

4> After completing the above steps click on “convert/ save” at the bottom.

5> The Stream Output window will pop up ( as shown in the pic above). Here you need to select the destination for storing your file. Make sure the extension of the file is “.mov” and not “.ps”. Click on “save” after completing all the steps.

6>A streaming window will pop up where you can check the DVD ripping progress.

7> After the process is complete, open the folder and enjoy the movie/video!
