So don’t think twice and remove the battery of your phone as electricity and water are the greatest enemies!

Your SIM and memory card carry important contact details, photos, files etc. Hence, it is very important to take then out and dry them up quickly. Keep them aside, insert them back only after the phone is completely dry.
Remove any other phone accessories, peripherals to open up any closed gaps/crevices so that your phone can dry up quickly.
4) Dry up your phone:-
Once you’ve followed the above steps, its extremely important to dry up your phone! Even a drop of water might lead to corrosion, hence the drying process:-
i> Avoid shaking or moving the phone too much and wipe off as much water as possible using either a dry towel or paper.
ii> Make sure that the paper doesn’t stick in the gaps and holes, so keep wiping continuously and gently.
iii> Remove any excess moisture by moving your dry hand across the surface.
5) Use a vacuum cleaner and avoid using a hair dryer:-
It is advisable to use a vacuum cleaner in case you have it. Vacuum cleaner is the most effective device that can dry up your phone within a short span( 20 min approx). But make sure you are drying up the phone from a distance.
NOTE: Hair dryer is not recommended for drying up your device as it forces the moisture into the phone, damaging the internal circuitry!
6) Use a substance with high affinity for water:-
Let your mobile rest in a container or bag filled with uncooked rice or better will be to use desiccant that comes along with your shoes, water bottles and absorbs moisture faster.
Keep the mobile in the container overnight, this will help in reducing the moisture inside the device to a great extent.
7) Allow the phone to rest on napkins, paper or any dry towel:-
Once you’ve dried the phone overnight, take it out and keep it on a napkin or paper or any dry towel just to absorb that extra bit of moisture. The phone should be completely dry, only then you can expect it to survive!
8) Time to test your phone:-
